Be proud of yourself for how hard you are trying.
Remind yourself, remind someone else, then remind yourself again. Repeat when necessary.
Now, I may be the biggest hypocrite, but I am also my biggest critic. I do not know if it is the same for everyone else, but I do not think there is anything more accurate to describe the amount of pressure I tend to put on myself.
I like to have my hands in many baskets at once, and with all of that responsibility comes with an excessive amount of pressure. Even when you think you can handle it, most things are out of your control. I know that it is hard to compass. I am one of those people that need to be in control of everything I am involved in, or else I become anxious (and then normally get into a position where I can function).
One thing I know that I can control is something that many people do not consider. The one thing we have complete control over is our effort. Only we know if we're giving it our all, so if you are, that's something to be proud of. We must find the things in life worth your 100% and ensure your well-being is a part of that list. We cannot give our 100% into something if we are too busy responding and reacting to everything that life gives us. Not everything or everyone deserves your time, energy, or attention. If we value our time, energy, and attention like we do our money and 'things', we would be more invested in ourselves rather than something that may only last a day or two.
We cannot simply think our way out of things, we have to act. It is important to have a great mindset that focuses more on the solutions, rather than the problems, but that only has worth when we marry it to movement. Let's create habits by focusing on baby steps. Small steps add up and will have a big impact. That big impact will result in more energy that maximizes your effort. No matter how old you are now. You are never too young or too old for success or going after what you want. Effort spawns success. Even the littlest victories count.
No matter how hard your day was, you can now look back after reading this post and realize that you've made it through. You've made it through the negativity, the pressure, the workload, the heartaches and have come out with new knowledge and an opportunity for a better tomorrow. You are a survivor.
